NEWARK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

Newark is a small rural city in Texas. We are located in the southeast corner of Wise county, about 20 miles north of Fort Worth, with a population of 1100. Our fire district includes Newark, Aurora, Avondale Heights, Meadowlands, Newark Ranch, and surrounding areas of Wise and Tarrant Counties. We currently provide Fire and EMS services to about 5000 people in our fire district. NFD responded to 680 calls in 2008.

This Medical Helicoptor is stationed at Wise Regional, and will shorten response times from a scene to a hospital.
