Waste and recycling

Waste and Recycling Services are provided by Republic Waste and reflected on your monthly utility bill.  Services are performed on Wednesday of each week. To ensure all trash is picked up, waste must be contained in a bin or tightly closed bag. Loose items will not be picked up.  All items intended for disposal should be placed curbside by 7 am on Wednesday of each week. Bulk pick up can be scheduled by contacting Republic Waste. 

Bulk trash disposal is available to Newark residents. You can call City Hall to schedule an appointment. Appointments are scheduled for Monday through Friday at either 8:30 am or 12:30 pm.
