Overview

The Newark Municipal Development District is a governmental body whose purpose is to promote, assist, stimulate, and enhance economic development in Newark. The MDD is governed by a 5-member Board of Directors who are appointed by the City Council.

It is the mission of the MDD Board to aid the City of Newark in making the community a better place to live, work and do business.

Meetings

The Municipal Development District Board meets the second Thursday of every month at 6:30pm at Newark City Hall. Agendas are posted the Monday prior to the meeting on the outside bulletin board at City Hall as well as on our website.
